Gon Freecss

Gon Freecss is the 1st character in the Hunter x Hunter roster. He is currently one of the 12 starter characters in ABA.

Gon is the best friend of KIllua Zoldyck, a rookie hunter. Gon's main reason for becoming a hunter was to find his father. His nen ability is named Jajanken, which incorporates techniques from the Enhancement, Emission and Transmutation categories. His main category is Enhancement.

Moves[]

Rock: Gon charges up his Nen creating an energy sphere in his hand that he uses to deliver a strong punch to his opponents.

Gon fishing pole (new) — Gif of Gon using "Pole"

Pole: Gon takes out his fishing pole and uses it as a transportation device, almost like a grapple. If aimed at a player, the pole will be hooked onto the caught opponent and reel Gon right up to them.

Gon-Scissor — Gif of Gon using "Scissor"

Scissor: Gon charges up his nen creating an energy blade in his hand before dashing forward and cutting his opponents with it.

Paper: Gon charges up his nen creating an energy sphere in his hand that he'll shoot out at opponents to hit them.

"I'll Use Everything!" (Transformation)[]

Limitation Transformation - Gon calls upon all the power he'll ever have, turning him to an adult, giving him unreasonably long hair, styled in an upward pillar taller than he is, and an emanating orange aura while playing Kingdom Of Predators.

End: Gon teleports to his opponent & kicks them far into the air. Once they start to fall down, Gon will charge a Jajanken: Rock in his hand to punch them with it, knocking them away. (Note: After using End you'll be stuck in place for 1 - 3 seconds before instantly dying.)

Tips and Tricks[]

Gon, Saber (Artoria Pendragon), and Ichigo (Hollow Mask) are the only characters to have more moves in base than in mode.
Gon has only one Combo Starter and Combo Extender, which is Pole but can is punished very easily as every single move in base has endlag. When playing Gon, try to punish everything your opponent does, from double jumping to endlag. But when fighting against Gon, simply hold block when he has Rock up, jump over Scissors, block and punish Paper, Rock and Scissors, don't double jump unless he has already used Scissors, and jump over the fifth M1 or let go of block.
Although Gon has high damage, he isnt very good in 1v1s due to only guardbreak having a bad hitbox and being jumped over very easily. Along with the fact that his awakening can only do one thing: Kill the target and then die.

Trivia[]

It takes exactly 8 rocks to gain awakening.
End is one of the most feared moves in ABA, due to it ignoring every counter and I-frame move in the game with simply no counterplay. Giorno’s Return To Zero is currently the only move able to withstand it.
Gon, Saitama, Ichigo Kurosaki, Jolyne Cujoh, Rengoku, and Might Guy are the only characters so far to have a move in awakening that kills them instead of ending the mode or bringing him to 1 hp.
When you use End, and die, it doesn't count as a death on the scoreboard. (You will still lose a life in gamemodes which have limited amount of lives.)
If you do not use End, you will still die when your awakening runs out.
You can use moves while being propelled by your Pole.
This character is one of the first characters to have their legendary skin switched.
Gon is tied with Achilles for the character with the least amount of moves in the game in second place. The first place holders are Tobi and Zenitsu with the third place being All Might.
End will give exactly 150 points, no matter the opponent's HP.
End will delay the opponent's return to the Respawn screen until the second punch.
