Byakuya Kuchiki (朽木 白哉, Kuchiki Byakuya) is the 4th character in the Bleach roster.
Byakuya Kuchiki is the captain of the 6th Division in the Gotei 13, he is also the brother of Rukia Kuchiki. His Bankai allows him to break his Zanpakuto into multiple small blades which can be manipulated. These blades reflect the sunlight and look like Sakura leaves.

Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (Transformation)
The 6th Division Captain - Byakuya drops his Zanpakuto into the ground, causing a ripple. Twenty giant blades rise up behind him in columns of ten, on either side and then dissolve into thousands of cherry blossom petals.

Tips and Tricks
- Much like Vinsmoke Sanji (Post-Timeskip), Most of Byakuya's moves in base can be blocked, or dodged easily.
- Gokei will lead to one or more opponents one shotted due to his awakening buff on April 28th 2023.
- Byakurai can be easily punished, it is best to use this move to finish a combo.
Trivia
- Byakuya is the only Bleach character to have Flashstep in awakening.
- Byakuya's 2nd and 3rd skin use his pre-timeskip hair despite both skins being based on his post-timeskip appearance.
- Byakuya has no specific animation during all four of his moves in awakening. This allows the player the confused and make the opponent guess which move will be used next.
- Byakuya is the only character that doesn't have an actual sword in his awakening, but still uses Advanced Sword M1s. Instead, he holds what seems to be a constant stream of cherry blossom petals.
- While most of Byakuya's M1s are colored pink, his 5th M1s and his uptilt/downtilt are colored red, probably due to an overlook from the developers.
- This character is very commonly used among players due to his good guardbreak & mode.
- Byakuya used to be able to use other moves and M1 while Gokei was active. This was nerfed due to it making kills to easy too acquire.
- Byakuya and Mugetsu Ichigo are the only characters in the game so far that can use a sword that are made of particles instead of a physical sword.
- Shinobu, Byakuya's 2nd legendary skin, has a minor change for the move. Her Byakurai color is changed from blue to pink.
